 As a responsible breeder I believe that a combination of health, tempermant and intelligence is what makes the perfect pet.

It is believed that hip dysplascia is primarily genetic, however I believe that there are things as owners we can do to help our dog's grow strong and healthy hip joints. They're are three contributing causes to hip dysplasia: genetics, over feeding, and too much excersice at a young age. To help your dog develop good joints as they are maturing, here are some things we can do:

Feed your dog the proper diet and do not over feed and allow your dog to become over weight. Carrying to much weight at a young age is going to add  stress on soft  puppy bones and is believed to have an affect on the skeletal development of a young dog. Another is too much excersice at a young age, which will cause stress to growing joints. Young bones do not entirely calcify untill 12 months of age. Overstressing joints at a young age can cause joint problems such as hip dysplasia.

 

Puppy Health Guarantee

1. I guarantee that each of our puppy’s health is excellent to the best of my knowledge. Buyer will be sent with proof of vaccination records and de-worming dates. I will also include a written guarantee for the puppy’s general health within 48 hours after purchase as follows:

During these 48 hours buyer must have the pup checked by a Vet, if the Vet finds the pup unfit for sale during this 48 hrs, Than the pup may be returned to us, on buyers expense, to receive a replacement puppy of equal value out of our next litter. Unfit for sale on a account of an injury or illness contracted after the sale does not qualify!

 2. Within 90 days of purchase, If your pup is determined by a Vet to a heart murmur or other serious pre-existing health condition, (example: eyes are determined to have potential issues)  the buyer will be entitled to a replacement puppy.

 

*All conditions must be determined by a liscenced Veterinarian and buyer must submit documented proof of health conditions.

If all conditions were met buyer has one of two options:

a) Return defective puppy to receive a replacement puppy.

b) Keep the original puppy and get a replacement puppy from my next litter. Pup must be of equal or lesser value (meaning same sex/color or a cheaper sex/color). Original puppy kept MUST also be spayed or neutered with documented proof before replacment puppy is released.

 

For Hip guarantee:

 

1) I provide a guarantee for my puppies who obtain an OFA Certification of Fair or above provided  the certain conditions are met:

 

  A) The dog must be x-rayed and x-rays must be submitted to OFA  for evaluation at 24 months of age. 

 

  B) The dog may be x-rayed and submitted to OFA for preliminary evaluation before 24 months of age.

 

 

  However, If the preliminary x-rays show a mild or borderline dysplasia, the dog must be re-x-rayed at 24   months of age and resubmitted to OFA for a final evaluation before the guarantee is honored.

 

  C) The dog has not been abused or involved in any kind of accident where bones were broken or bruised.

 

  D) The dog was provided with a proper diet and moderate excercise.

 

  E) The dog must NOT be bred.

 

  F) The dog must NEVER been over weight

 

  G) I have been provided the veterinarian report and the OFA report(s).

 

  H) When the dog is x-rayed it is done without sedation or the most minimal sedation where the dog is still   somewhat awake and alert to what is going on so that they can have muscle tone when x-rays are taken. X-rays   must be taken by an expierenced Vet that has expierence with x-rays and knows how tohold the dog properly   and evenly.

 

  I) You have not taken your dog running or done any other joint stressing excercises untill it is over the age of   one year of age. Tings that stress a dog's joints incluse: excercises on hard serfaces, continuous running,   repetitive jumping, competing in competitive dog sports, or any activity that may cause injury to young bones   that are not fully matured.

2) If the above conditions are met and the dog is deemed dysplastic by OFA you can either: 

1. Return defective puppy to receive a replacement puppy.

or

2. Keep the original puppy and get a replacement puppy from my next litter. Pup must be of equal or lesser value (meaning same sex/color or a cheaper sex/color). Original puppy kept must also be spayed or neutered with documented proof.

 

*All conditions must be determined by a licensed Veterinarian and buyer must submit documented proof of health conditions.

 

*All Veterinary costs are the buyers responsibility

 

*All replacements are final and honored for the original buyer only and may not be transferable to any other party.

 

 

*No replacement puppy is honored after 26 months of age.

 

 

PARVO

No replacement puppy will be given for a puppy that comes down with Parvo.  Puppies over all health is buyer’s reasonability. I strongly suggest you do not take your puppy anywhere or around other dog’s until puppy has received its 3rd shot. Puppies must receive their 2nd shot 3 weeks after the first shot has been given and than 3rd shot 3 weeks after 2nd shot. It is your job asthe owner to protect them by keeping up with vaccinations and feeding them a proper diet and keeping up with proper grooming.

 **If at any time in the future you cannot take care of your puppy/dog, The Amazing Aussie Posse will glady take the dog back (no refunds) or atleast help in finding the dog a new home. We do not want any of our dogs to end up in a shelter!!

All returned dog's/puppies must be accompanied with their papers and shot records.
